Let There Be Light!

When we first looked at the house, I thought the stairwell was a little dark. There was a junction box and wiring at the top of the stairs, but the inspector told me that he didn’t detect any current in the wires.

Armed with my new multi-meter, I took a second look at these wires and found that they were switched by the stairwell switches. Convenient!

Liz and I picked and installed a light fixture in this empty space. Unfortunately, the junction box is off center, but I’m going to ignore that for the fact that the stairwell is much better lit now.
